Pinterest Projects!

Well I caved in about 2 weeks ago and haven't regretted it since! I decided to check out pinterest after 6 months and 2 invites later and........I AM SO GLAD I DID!!!! What a wonderful site with endless ideas on about anything you can think of! I thought I'd share some of my projects thus far.

Tips on what to photograph of your baby :) Basically the same changed a picture out and the outlining is different.

This was my first "craft" project. It's a picture frame I had, scrapbook paper and letters I had. You use it as a dry erase board to leave messages to family members.

My 2nd project was the girls shadow boxes! I just love how they turned out! I put their coming home outfit, their hospital tag, their hat from the hospital, newborn diaper, birth announcement, a dried rose I recieved from my Mother in Law after their births, a letter A that I put polka dots on and I used my scrapbook paper, ribbon and some signs I had that I also painted pink. I was so tickled I got 2 shadow boxes at Odd Lots for $10.63!! Woohoo!

The 3rd one I did was WAY more involved since I had to use my cricut to cut the letters out and then glue them on, deciding what paper to use. It's a dry erase calendar of our week or upcoming important dates we need to remember. Since I'm home now 95% of the time so I don't look at my calendar in my purse that often so this will be wonderful!

This is a $5.00 t-shirt I got from Wmart that I made into an infinity scarf.

So simply and NO sewing involved. 2 cuts and lots of stretching and there you have it. Easy Peasy!

Avery's 1st 5 yrs! ♥ it! Can't wait till this is finished! Won't be until June, when Miss Avery turns 5 so I can have her 5 yr picture then in the empty pane I'm going to do her feet & hands.

I've also done several cleaning tips, like our dyson vacuum, cleaned out our bathroom drains, also a cute hair technique. There a few more things I want to do :) I'm so glad I gave in. I was very hesitant b/c I didn't want one more thing to tie me to the computer but I feel this has been well worth my time! Happy pinning!

Dare to Dream!

Just like every other month, January is no exception and is just moving right along. Although with the weather we had it seemed more like Spring :) Yippee!! As I'm typing we got a couple of inches of snow last night and very cold temps and tomorrow we are to an additional 3-5" yea! I can say that b/c we don't have any plans :)

Alexandria just continues to grow too fast and just love that she interacts with us more and more each day!

SUCH a big girl :)

You can DEFINITELY tell they are related! I took Alexandria to her 2 mo appt on January 18th and she was 10 lbs 3 oz (SAME exact weight as her sister was at 2 mos) and 21 3/8" long. Dr. Strong said her fluid is totally gone in her ear, which is great news, he said sometimes that can take a long time to go away! He said she looks great!

My friend and I decided to treat the girls (ok I left Alexandria at her Mimi's for the day) to Disney's Dare to Dream. I took Avery last year and she loved it and this year was NO exception. It was a different show then last years and the girls had a ball!

Enjoying all the princesses, singing and dancing to all the songs!

Crazy Laney-Bug! This just cracks me up! We had a great day and even stopped at the Outlets for a little bit of shopping :)

I finally captured Miss Alexandria's sad pouty lip face :)

She just smiles and watches her Big sister as she entertains her.

Bear Hug!

Well I finally caved in after maybe 6 mos of my 1st invite to Pinterest and absolutely LOVE it! I've gotten lots of ideas and tips and have used many of the cleaning tips so far. This was my first DIY thanks for my sister-in-law who found this on pinterest. It took me 10 mins to do. It's a frame I had, scrapbook paper I had and letters I had. I have it in the bathroom and leave notes for the girls and Josh. I think it's a great and fun thing to do to let them know how much I love them. Well I must move on got more pinning to do ;)

The New Year 2012

WOW....where did 2011 go?! What a great year we had. Some highlights were:

1. In March 2011 we found out I was pregnant!!!!!!! I just couldn't believe it after all we've been through and to have it happen on it's own was just the icing on the cake!
2. In April 2011 we got to go to Moab, Utah for 2 weeks for the Easter Jeep Safari then the 2nd week we got to site see. We drove out, oh my! Mike and Julia went too as did our friends, Jason, Denise and Keith Hawkins.
3. Avery started her 2nd year in PreSchool and it just amazes me how fast she is growing up and all the things she is learning!
4. Then in Sept. we got another vacation to Garden City Beach, SC. It was just us and my mom. We had great weather!
5. Josh started a new job on Oct. 17 at The Killbuck Savings Bank, main branch. He will be a commercial loan officer, plus his degrees and 8 years accounting experience he is doing various other tasks as well and loves it. Plus NO TAX SEASON! This is a GREAT opportunity for him and has allowed me to stay home with the girls. I am however still helping out at the craft store from time to time and I just feel so blessed that I can be home most of the time!
6. We welcomed our little miracle #2 on Nov. 17, 2011 and almost didn't make it to the hospital...oh my! :)

Here's what we've been up to - to end the New Year and bring in the New Year:

She does love her Daddy!

Getting lots of smiles and coos now that she's feeling better.

They love each other so much!

haha!

Such a BIG girl holding up her head already!

Miss Fashion Girl!

OOOOOOOK!

Getting ready to go to our friends' for New Years!

LOVE THEM!

Then last Friday after my Dr's appt. we just HAD to take a walk it was almost 60 degrees in Jan!!!

"Help I can't move!"

The fresh air wore her out :)

Love how she was holding her hands :)

There's my smile I love so much!

And her goofy sister that we love too!

Here's hoping this year is just as good to us as 2011 had been and that it doesn't make us crossed-eyed! :)
