The year w/o Santa Claus

Well we didn't get to see Santa in person this year, the night he was in Millersburg Avery had a fever, runny nose and cough. She seemed ok that we couldn't go, think I was more disappointed than she was! However, Santa came through with an email! She was SOOOOO impressed her knew her name, how old she was, that she lived in Millersburg, that she went to the beach this past summer and that she is now a BIG sister ;) I do the PNP video every year, they are so cute! This year we were ALL sick :( every one had terrible colds and coughs then poor Alexandria who was just at the Dr's for her 1 month check on Monday had to go back on Friday (she had a terrible cough, still congested from her 1st cold at Tgiving and I noticed she wasn't eating much).....only to discover in 4 days since her visit she had an ear infection! BOOOOOO~ she had to be put on antibiotics. We've been blessed and spoiled b/c Avery has NEVER been on antibiotics. Poor Alexandria was also hoarse from screaming and crying :( It didn't seem like Christmas to me this year since we were all sick, tired and maybe because I had all the gifts bought and wrapped before Alex was born.

My Aunt Judy got Avery these jammies with matching jammies for her baby. CUTE!

Can't believe Avery is 4.5 yrs old. One of the middle of the night feedings when Avery was up with me, she was just talking away and said "ya, I'm 4and a half...don't know what a half means but that's how old I am!" ha.ha.

Our family tradition when we were kids was to open up our stockings and I've continued this with my family now. Avery was so appreciate with every thing she opened. Every gift would go like this: "OHHHHHHH just what I always wanted a (whatever she opened)" Some I knew she didn't have a clue what is was so I would ask her after she said It's what I was wanted "do you know what it is?" Avery "No!" haha. Or she would say "This is the best lip gloss I ever got, pretties headband I ever got, etc., etc." Just makes you so warm and happy inside to see her joy and appreciation!

Then Daddy let her open her big gift from us.....a race track!

Notice Josh's tongue hanging out and people wonder why Avery as a baby and now Alexandria always stick out their tongue! ha!

The girls on Christmas Eve.

My girls...all 3 of them..hee.hee.

Nana gave us cookies to bake and all I had to do was heat the oven, open the package and bake them...I even struggled to do that just didn't feel that good but Avery kept begging and I couldn't let her down or Santa!

So sweeeeeeet! This is before we read Twas the Night Before Christmas....

Christmas morning and Avery was SO impressed Santa wrote her a note and that again he knew her name, ate most of his cookies, drank his milk and that Rudolph ate most of his carrot too!

LOVE HER EXPRESSIONS and EXCITEMENT!

One of her favorite gifts was a sleeping bag that was pink AND purple! She's been using it every day and even slept in it on her bed on night and yesterday she took a nap in it!

Then after our Christmas at home on to Proper's....................

Mimi reading to the kids before chaos takes place.

Loving her new headband Mimi and Pop got her, made by one talented Amy Loveday!

Trying on her new hat from Aunt Janna.

Then later that night back to our house for the Hall's and Mom...............

Avery got 3 bags of chips and couldn't be happier.....ha...who knew?!

Cousins! Girls rule again!

Well hello blue eyes!

Then on Monday afternoon we headed to Wadsworth to have Christmas with Jeannette, Uncle Lowell (Dad was in St. Croix) and to see D & J's new house.

Avery excited over her play-doh factory!

Notice a new outfit change for Avery :)

:) haha! She gave up and we got a silent night for a few hours anyway. Hoping you each and everyone of you had a Merry Christmas!

Our Little Turkey!

We started Thanksgiving Day out by giving you your first bath, since you rumbilical cord fell off already :) You seemed to like this better.

Bahahaha! You don't even fill out your newborn onesie or your socks! Avery wanted to know why we were dressing you in boy clothes :) I said b/c I bought this when I was pregnant and thought we were having a boy.....I did add a bow at least :)

The boys deep frying a turkey for the first time, it was yummy!

Oh Kason!

Getting lots of helping hands........

Such cute little feet!

You seem to be on schedule at night, waking now about every 3-3.5 hours to eat, however during the day when I'm home with you it seems you don't sleep very long! Probably b/c your daddy is spoiling you by holding you when you sleep :) Don't get me wrong, I do too but not near like Daddy does since he doesn't see you as much plus I have things to do :) Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, we did since ours came on 11.17, we have so much to be thankful for!

Getting to Know You.........

Your 1st outing with Mommy. I had to take you to your 48 hour pediatrician visit. Dr. Strong couldn't believe you were back up to your birth weight. You weighed 5 lbs. 15 oz when we brought you home.

Avery just LOVES to help feed you, hold you, kiss you, etc., etc.

Sleepy head!

She can't get enough of you!

She is SOOO happy that we get to keep you :)

FREAKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a doll! LOL!

We forgot how much newborns sleep!

Being a Big Sis sure is hard work! I couldn't believe Avery asleep in the tub! She never falls asleep hardly anywhere except her bed!

You get to join Avery and I at night for story time.

Love all the faces you make!

Our Family............

I can't believe you are 1 week old already! Time is just going by too fast, I'm just soaking up everything about you :) Like I said I feel really good, physically and mentally. I asked to be put on Zoloft, low dosage which I started on Nov. 1st, didn't want to take a chance of getting PPD again plus having you this time of year we will be cooped up in the house till Spring!
