5,6 Pick Up Sticks!!!

It was a beautiful day but I noticed it was windy all day. Then about 5ish till 9ish we had a horrible wind storm thanks to the effects of IKE! I don't know what the gusts were 50-60mph I think the radio said. We were one of the lucky ones that didn't lose power only cable and internet the next day till 7:30 pm and our house and barn/garage stayed intact! The radio is saying it could be days before the power is restored to everyone.......brings back memories of the ice storm but w/o the ice and cold.

My mums ended up in the driveway and almost everything our porch was blown over.

Seriously look how pretty the sky was during this wind storm

This is our neighbors tree and Josh had just moved his car for him with 15 seconds to spare before a large branch came crashing down!

This is another large limb that fell on our neighbors van

The Village and Josh doing clean up the next day

Our little helper. She had so much fun picking up sticks :) I know in a few years she'll won't think it's so much fun.

I'm so sad the dumb wind took out our tulip tree

What a mess!

Only in a Jeep!

Josh's Jeep Club (Stillwell Stompers) had their 1st Annual Jeep Charity Run/Hog Roast and what fun despite some rain! The pictures just don't do the trails or the Jeeps justice :(

Day One...........................

Tab Hawkins, me and Tina Williams

Some of the Jeeps at the meeting place

1st obstacle getting up Broken Shoulder.....This is Mike and Julia (Josh's parents)

Now Josh's turn - he didn't give me a chance to get in but oh well at least I could get some pictures of our Jeep in action :)

My job in spotter on the passengers side so I said: "Do you see that big pointy rock sticking up?!" Josh.........crunch "Uh-o what was that?!" Ugh! For once listen to me honey! It just tore our air-dam no biggie so we took it off.

Jason was nuts but his wasn't an every day driver so he didn't care if it got scraped. Look closely (above) or click on picture for full size to see the smoke coming off his passengers front tire! Sweet!

That's gonna leave a mark!

Yup that's right he brought his 2 yr. old lil boy along and he did awesome! Don't think Avery is ready for an all day Jeep ride.

Poor Shawn had to be winched.

Jeff's Jeep

We got stuck on this rock and our old Jeep had to pull us off! Priceless :)

Jarod and Tab (our old jeep)

Senior Proper's going down a steep hill and then back up

Pretty AWESOME!

Another major obstacle everyone in our group made it but one and man was the kid disappointed (below giving it all he had). Again it's tougher then the pictures look. I should have done some videoing but didn't want to waste the batteries in my camera.

Jeff's turn

Mike's turn

Day 2............................I stayed home this time and look what happens.....scary stuff! Jason Hawkins rolled his Jeep with his wife and 3 kids! Josh said it rolled over slowly but still was scary stuff! Everyone was OK! Whheewww!

Denise still smiling and their 3 kids after that incident posing on the rock where it happened.
